Pros: Other floors like 4MB, 6MB, 4W and 8E are fine.
Cons: Stay away from 3W Neuro PCU. It's always short so you'll float there. Typical assignment: 3 of 4 total care, restraints, aggressive patients, an insulin drip with q1 sugars, q4 neuro checks on everyon…
Pros: Six weeks on 7E med-surg tele and I love it. Staffing is immaculate, unlike anything I've seen. Coworkers on every floor are nice. My two floats went well. Lots of travelers go staff here.
Cons: Very busy with sick patients as the only level 1 trauma for several states. Heavier patients, just fewer of them.
Pros: Great people to work with, even on crazy days everyone is helpful and understanding.
Cons: Critical care float across ICUs and PACU B, sometimes floated mid shift. They cancelled some ICU contracts and moved them to float pool. Put on standby at times, don't count on OT.
