Pros: Absolutely loved it. Very traveler friendly and I felt really supported as a nurse. 1:4 ratios. 10/10 experience.
Cons: Nothing major. Another ER traveler said it gets busy and chaotic but still very doable.
Pros: 16 weeks on 11T onc/med-surg precepting LPNs, the people were amazing. 1:5, any scrubs, Epic. Parking about $3 a night.
Cons: My friend on 10T had an awful time and I consistently heard bad things about 9T and 10T. They were rolling out team nursing, 1 RN and 1 LPN to 8 patients, still working out the kinks.
Pros: Ended up really enjoying float pool here. Med-surg 1:5, had 6 twice. 2-3 CNAs per 30 beds who do vitals and some BGs. PCU/tele floats 1:4-5. Floated to the same floor on consecutive shifts. Never give…
Cons: Hired for 8th floor covid med-surg but it is really float pool. No tube system, no night IV or transport. Lots of ED sitter shifts. Do not stay downtown, car break-ins.
