Pros: I’m on the CCU and the patient acuity is pretty low. We still maintain a 1:1 or 1:2 ratio, while only sometimes having a 1:3 step down assignment. The unit is old but the staff all work well together …

Cons: Some of the policies are questionable. Q4h pressure charting for CRRT, Q2h vitals in the ICU unless on inotropes, not allowing charting by exception.
