Hello Travelers! My partner Richard and I are semi-retired and are design builders who have a passion for vintage, reclaimed building materials and contemporary design. We spend part time at our workshop in San Miguel California, and part time on our beautiful forested mini-ranch in unincorporated Aromas, a small rural town of less than 4,000 residents in north Monterey County. We decided we wanted to offer our little slice of paradise in Aromas, with gorgeous coastal California weather and a quiet country setting, with gorgeous oak forest views, to professional travelers. We are 7 miles from the coast in Central California, in a quiet rural area, peppered with small farms. We purchase our produce, dairy and meats from local farm stands a few miles from home. Climate here is nearly ideal. The coastal influence provides both mild summers and winters. We are within 20-25 miles of Monterey/Carmel, Santa Cruz, and wonderful natural areas to explore like the Elk Horn Slough and Monterey Bay to the west, the historic town of San Juan Bautista and the vineyards and farmlands of San Benito County to the East.
