Cons: Acuity in the ICU was low, I went months without an ICU drip. One staffer gave a few travelers a really hard time. They encourage you to draw your own labs in ICU.
Pros: Union, always an hour lunch. PCU 1:3, ICU 1:1-2, ER obs 1:4. Phlebotomy and pharmacists. Any scrubs, Epic.
Cons: Posted as PCU, found out in orientation it's critical care float pool across 4 units plus ER obs, a bait and switch for every PCU and ICU traveler. Whole schedule posted day two, no block or self sche…
Pros: 3:1, 2:1 if higher acuity. Great coworkers. IV team and lab does morning draws. Roof lifts in every room. Two CNAs on days. Charge usually doesn't take patients and helps. Traveler friendly.
Cons: You will float before a floor nurse. Parking is ok with a shuttle bus.
