Pros: Loved it, great ER. People are excellent and travel friendly. Ratios 1:3. You get a half hour and a 45 minute break with a dedicated break nurse. Epic, no scrub color. The area is amazing to explore.
Cons: I was a return traveler and still got cancelled with a month left for 'census'. They cut a couple dozen travelers and didn't ask the charges who to keep.
Pros: The staff is wonderful and super helpful.
Cons: Boarder situation is insane and patients are complex (cancer, transplant), so you're a floor nurse in the ER with no tech and no resources. Inefficient and frustrating.
Pros: Great assignment. ICU 1:1-2, never tripled. Lift team every 2 hours, ceiling lifts, ICU pharmacist, transport, free charge and resource nurse. Fellow and residents in unit overnight, virtual ICU helps…
Cons: ICU travelers now float to med-surg, tele and stepdown more. Teaching hospital with little autonomy. No guaranteed night blocks. Paid day parking.
